Well, it's official
I just got done looking at the stats for today-it's official, the PPC(pay per click) for the small network I was working with just is not producing any revenue. I've turned it off for the moment-there's little use to keep spending money if it's not bringing in revenue. Since I can't recommend it yet, I'll withhold the name until I think I can. Mom used to say-If you can't say anything good, don't say anything at all
I guess I'm kind of experimenting with the smaller PPC's right now. I've spent some time with Google and Yahoo so I kind of know what they can do PPC-they produce results, but those charges rack up like nobodies business. If I find a small PPC that actually sends traffic that will even just click on Adsense, I will likely stay with them. I haven't given up on the smaller PPC's yet-the campaign I ran was not well optimized and I didn't have a landing page for each specific term, etc. etc. so there's a lot I could do there to see if I can profit from $0.01 click-I sure hope so, because I would love to pay only that for a click-100 clicks to the dollar is SOO much better than 20
To experiment, I am turning traffic on and off at PPC's for a period of time and measuring the results. The site is getting virtually no independant traffic, so now is a good time to run an experiment such as this. I've turned on another small PPC, I'll let you all know how it does.
In general, SEO (search engine optimization) is going slower than I would like it to. Time is the enemy with acheiving good SERPS (Search Engine Ranking Pages), so all I can do is wait. I think I will follow a suggestion I have seen around the web countless times and try a little viral marketing with articles and free offers. I will write the articles no problem, but I've got to look for compelling free offers that will cause people to want to visit. That will be the next quest that I outline in this blog.
